As a longtime CrossFit athlete, I’ve often chuckled at the sight of gym friends carrying their chalk in Tupperware or ziplock bags—or, if they were lucky, using a communal chalk bucket of questionable cleanliness.
And then there’s the inevitable mess. It’s almost a rite of passage. We’ve all accepted it as part of the game, never really considering an alternative.
SOLVING A PROBLEM
I was convinced there had to be a better way. After months of brainstorming, I teamed up with an industrial design firm, relentlessly iterating through various designs until I found a modern solution to elevate the chalk experience with minimal mess.
My design goals were clear:
